Emil Forsberg: “Everyone Wants To Win The First Title”

The 29-year old RB Leipzig player Emil Forsberg described his excitement on the possibility of winning their first title against Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal final on Friday 14th at 00:15 is in the Olympiastadion.

“its huge. Everyone at this club wants to win the first title. Of course, you can already feel a degree if tension, but we’re training very hard, and of course, we’re looking forward to the final and want to win,” Forsberg said in an interview posted in the DFB’s website.

RB Leipzig also made it earlier in year 2019 for their way to the final but ffell diwn after the 3-0 defeat against Bayern Munich.

“Of course, the feeling before the game was a completely different to the one afterward,” said Dorsberg.

“Nevertheless, it was a great experience that I will never forget. The result aside, you dream of being able to play games like that. Now I have another chance and I want to leave the pitch as a winner so that the feeling after the game will be just as good as it was before.”

Forsberg’s extension to his contract

On the wednesday May 12 the German Cup finalist announced that the Sweden playmaker Emil Forsberg has become the third RB Leipzig player in the last week to commit to the Bundesliga high-fliers.

He was the part of the team when they reached the Champions League Semi-finals aganist Paris Saint Germain last year in 2020 and was part of the squad promoted to the Bundesliga in 2016.

Since his 2015 transfer from Malmo the 29-year-old has made 211 appearances for Leipzig.
