A-League’s team Melbourne Victory F.C. new coach Tony Popovic
Former Australian defender Tony Popovic is going to take the responsibility of A-League’s team Melbourne Victory F.C. as a coach on a three-year contract beginning in July.
Tony Popovic aged 47 is coming back after a good conclusion with Western Sydney Wanderers.
He guided the western Sydney Wanderers for the Asian Champions League title in the year 2014 in the club’s first season in the continental competition, for the Domestic title in 2012-13, and also for the A-League premiership with Perth in2018-19.After the 7-0 loss of Victory against Melbourne City on Sunday after which Grant Brebner was replaced. Victory will still have Steve Kean as an intern coach. Victory struggled very much in the A-League powerhouse.
Victory’s chairman Anthony Di Pietro says Popovic will be given the freedom to heal all aspects of the club. Di Pietro says Tony will be responsible for the playing style and performance of the club. Pietro says Tony’s success with the Australian club has made him what he is today.
Tony has played 58 games for Australia, for Crystal Palace in England and for Sanfreece Hiroshima in Japan, and Sydney FC in A-League.
